7 Things To Do After SPM

1. Sleep.
Most of you have probably been slaving it out, burning the midnight oil for the past few weeks. While I hope that you did not go in for your exams tired, it's time to get some well-deserved rest. Go catch some Z's!

2. Work part-time
After SPM, one of the most common things high school graduates do is work part-time. Most business outlets will be hiring part-time workers during this post-SPM season, so go find a job somewhere you're interested in and clock in the hours. Nothing beats the feeling of getting your first paycheck (and spending it).

3. Travel
Some of you will probably be going off on vacation with your families (or on your own). If you'd applied for an exchange programme abroad, you'll probably be making preparations for your departure. Enjoy the experience and have lots of fun! Au revoir!

4. Relax
Go on a TV season marathon. Bake some cookies. Play some basketball. Watch a movie. (Mockingjay is out!) Whatever it is, after the stressful past few weeks, it's time to unwind, get some R&R and let off some steam.

5. Spend time with people you love
You've probably been neglecting your mom and dad, what with being cooped up in your room all day studying and preparing for those horrid papers. Now it's time to share and spread some love, especially with your high school friends. Being in the exam hall doesn't count for quality time. Go out and spend some time together.

6. Plan.
Now, just because SPM is over, it doesn't mean that you should neglect your studies--or rather, planning for your studies! Go look up a few pre-U courses, pathways to the universities you're interested in and scholarships! Going to an education fair would be helpful too! While most of you probably wouldn't want to think about it that seriously just yet, it's still a good idea to more or less know where you plan to head in the future. You may find a few helpful websites on our resource page.

7. Party!
At the end of the day, it's time to kick back and have some fun. You guys have earned it!
