How to Score A+ in SPM Add Maths

Facing difficulties in Additional Mathematics? No worries, we are here to guide you and give you tips on how to score Add Maths in SPM.

#1 Understanding

First, you must understand it. Do not ever try to memorize, because memorizing does not work in mathematics at all. Try to understand the basic of the theory. Once you have understand it, you can slowly solve all the questions given.

#2 Practices

In order to improve yourselves in Add Maths, you need to do more practices. Maths questions can be asked in many ways. By doing more practices, you can get yourselves familiar with the basic of the theory or even have a better and deeper understanding about it. Of course, you are also able to get a brief image of ways of questions being asked and methods of answering the particular questions. Do more practices, until you are okay with it. If you don't know how to do it, refer to the answers. But of course, do not always rely on the answers. Always try to improve yourselves.

#3 Guidance

If you are facing difficulties in understanding Add Maths, don't scare. Just go and search for help or guidance. This is the best way, and also the faster way to solve your problem. Go for tuition, or seek friends and teachers for help. You can surely understand it after the explanation.

#4 Determination

Add Maths might make you frustrated. But always remember, don't give up easily. If you have given up, then you surely can't make it. But if you try, who knows your final SPM result might give you a surprise? Always motivate yourselves. Nothing can be done without trying.

Indeed, it's always better to have someone to guide you. It will be even better if you have someone experience in teaching to motivate you.

Mr. Austin Lau is a very experience and patience Add Maths tutor. He has been teaching students since year 2007. Without a doubt, he can guide his students well and help them in scoring the subjects. This has been proven by his students, with majority of them scoring flying colour in Add Maths as well as Maths. Both students and parents have a very impressive comment on him.

Students never get bored under his teaching.

  3. We recently had a talk and they said we can give more than one answer for one of the papers. I wasn't sure which paper so I did some research and some blogs say that you may give more than one answer for both of the papers. So which is true?

    1. hi Sherlissa, it will be good to start with many easier questions, keep doing it and getting it correct. Then you move on to the really difficult questions from past years. If you can't continue with the question, quickly ask a teacher. That works for everyone of my fail to A+ students.
